Vertical Cultivation technology made of recycled industrial components and materials for indoor cultivation in subarctic climates

The project idea stems from the ambition to produce indoor agriculture technology from local residual waste streams of materials and components, and the potential circular business models that follows, in Norrbotten. Participating parties are the research group for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Luleå University of Technology and the Luleå-based agtech startup company Containing Greens. The project consists of three work packages: WP1: Mapping of possible reuse in cultivation technology and its potential in Norrbotten WP2: Prototypes of cultivation technology of recycled materials and components WP3 Project management, collaboration, learning in the local business community and dissemination of results The project will deliver short summaries of identified residual flows and possible business models, construct simpl prototypes and write a brief report aimed at the local business community, in addition to a report to the Swedish Energy Agency.
