Sweden’s sustainable building revolution

Two RE:Source-funded projects have proven that building with recycled materials is possible, but that it imposes new requirements such as guarantees and certification.

This video explores the concept of reusing materials in the building industry in Sweden, in projects funded by the strategic innovation program RE:Source. A significant portion, approximately 38%, of all waste in Sweden comes from the construction sector, totaling 14 million tons. The projects in this video emphasize the need to transition from the traditional model of mass transportation and cheap production to a more sustainable approach.
