Three New Strategic Projects Focused on Circularity and Supply Security

When RE:Source solicited project proposals on the theme “Circular Strategies as Tools for Sustainable Supply Security,” the response was overwhelming. Three of them have now been selected for funding.
During a special decision-making meeting on June 25, the RE:Source board selected the following proposals for funding:
- Circular Strategies for Swedish Food Security: Polar Associates
- Yellow Construction Equipment in a Circular Construction and Repair Readiness Model—A Comparison of Reuse and Repair in the Swedish and Ukrainian Value Chains: Samarbetande konsulter
- Circular Supply Security in the Healthcare Sector: Xvii Sustainability AB
“The number of proposals and their overall high quality demonstrate the strong commitment and advanced expertise that exist in this field. This is, of course, gratifying, but it also placed high demands on the selection process,” says Malin Orebäck, program director for RE:Source.
The rationale for the projects approved by the RE:Source board is as follows:
The selected projects all received high scores in the assessment of potential, relevance, expertise, and implementation, and have also distinguished themselves by being clearly defined and having well-described plans, particularly regarding collaboration with reference groups and other parties.
The project will last for six or twelve months starting mid 2026.
