Implementation study of industrial infrastructure as an enabler for residental construction - case study in Sotenäs

Since 2013, actors in Sotenäs municipality have been actively working with industrial and social symbiosis, where companies and other organizations share resources between each other and thus create resource efficiency at the system level. Now actors in the network want to explore the possibilities of linking housing development projects in the municipality to the symbiosis network. One reason for the interest is that the property development company Fastigheter i Långevik has been informed that the municipality's water treatment plant does not have the capacity to connect the new properties that are planned. The project is needed to develop a concept model and conduct a feasibility analysis covering both technical and economic aspects. The results will form the basis of an implementation action plan including innovation and implementation projects. The project would be the first of its kind with this type of collaboration on resource efficiency.
